Privacy policy
In short: Subya does not require an account, does not contain advertising or analytics, and does not send your dives, documents or photos to us. Your logbook is stored locally on your device.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller for Subya is Vedana, the developer identified in the app’s store listing. Privacy enquiries can be sent to [email protected].
2. Data stored on your device
Subya stores the information you choose to create or import inside the app’s private storage, including:
- dives downloaded from a dive computer, including the original bytes received from it;
- dives and related records imported from UDDF files;
- notes, tags, manual corrections, gas and air-consumption information;
- gear, setups, dive sites, buddies, trips, dive centres and checklists;
- certifications, insurance and medical documents, including attached photographs;
- profile name and picture, downloaded manuals and custom background;
- app preferences, backup status and locally stored purchase or voucher status.
We do not receive this content and cannot read it. It remains on your device until you delete it, erase the app data or uninstall Subya.
3. When Subya connects to the internet
The main logbook works offline. A connection is used only for the following user-visible functions:

Your dives, private documents and photographs are not sent in any of these requests.
4. Device permissions

Your location is saved only in the dive-site record on your device and is not sent to Subya.
5. Purchases and vouchers
Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy terms. Subya does not see or store your payment card. It stores locally only the purchase entitlement and the time it was last confirmed.
A gift or voucher code is checked on the device. Its redemption status remains local and is not sent to us.
6. Backups, exports and sharing
You decide where exported UDDF files, shared images and Subya backup archives are saved or sent. If you place them in cloud storage, email or another app, that provider’s privacy terms apply. Subya does not upload them automatically.
7. Website data
This website is static. It does not set analytics or advertising cookies, fingerprint visitors, or submit forms. The hosting network necessarily processes technical request data such as IP address, requested path and security logs to deliver and protect the site.
8. Retention and your choices
Because the app content is held locally, you control its retention. You can export a copy, create a complete backup, delete individual items, use “Erase data” in settings, or uninstall the app. We cannot retrieve or restore local content for you.
9. Your rights
We do not hold a server-side profile or copy of your logbook. If you believe another processing activity concerns you, contact [email protected]. Where applicable, you may also contact your local data-protection authority.
10. Children
Subya is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
11. Changes
Material changes will be published at this URL with a new effective date. The policy in the app’s currently supported languages is available through the language selector above.
